Bring your SQL problems and ask the audience, bounce ideas - anything related to SQL Server.

6.30pm – 7.30pm
Starting out with Microsoft SQL Server? A beginners introduction to setting up an environment.
Tony Rogerson, SQL Server MVP

Tony will take us through best practice for the installation and set up of a SQL Server install; this will look at language and collation settings; basic disk configurations; resilience in the form of database mirroring and log shipping and show some of the tools available to investigate problems.

Tony will also look at the SQL Express Edition and how to set up and use it in a production setting.
