This session will walk through the authoring and delivery of reports with a focus on the new features of Reporting Services 2008. At the end of this session you will understand how to create a report in the new report designer. Be aware of the Report management options available and the delivery mechanisms that can be used to deliver reports.

As greater collaboration between business stakeholders and BI professional occur in implementing reports, this session will focus on how best to facilitate the reports created by installing, configuring and administering Reporting Service.
The reports may look good and provide the users with the information required. However, ensuring that the reports are delivered in a timely manner can be an important measure of the success of even entire BI projects. This session will focus on tips and techniques that you can use tune and optimise reports to ensure that report consumers can get the reports they need, when they need it!
Chris is a SQL Server Specialist at QA, the UK’s leading provider of learning services . He specialises in SQL Server Business Intelligence and teaches all Microsoft courses in the SQL 2000, 2005 and 2008 product range. He also conducts closed company courses and consults on thier business implementations of SQL Server and Business Intelligence solutions. Chris is also a technical author currently working on E-Learning courses for SQL Server 2008 with Microsoft Learning. He is a speaker at SQL Bits conference and is participating as an Ask the Expert at Tech ED Europe in the SQL Server\Business Intelligence arena. Chris also runs the Manchester SQL Server User Group.
