Getting dimensional with data
Chris will provide an overview of the steps required to create a cube in SQL Server Analysis Services. Exploring the use of Data Sources and data source views to define the source data that the cube will use. Understanding the importance of Dimensions and how hierarchies can be added to improve the user experience of browsing a dimensional data . To bringing the cube together with measures that will hold the business metrics that intersect each dimension in a cube.

As greater collaboration between business stakeholders and BI professional occur in implementing reports, this session will focus on how best to facilitate the reports created by installing, configuring and administering Reporting Service.
The reports may look good and provide the users with the information required. However, ensuring that the reports are delivered in a timely manner can be an important measure of the success of even entire BI projects. This session will focus on tips and techniques that you can use tune and optimise reports to ensure that report consumers can get the reports they need, when they need it!
