Ensuring top performance on your SQL Servers can be a major pain point for many organisations and a lot of hard work for the DBA team. To maintain top notch performance you need to make sure you are monitoring the right things, but how do you know if the figures you are seeing is good or bad? This is where comparing against a baseline for your environment is key.JoinRichard who will explain what a baseline is, why and when you need to take one and then will show you how to create one. We'll be looking at a number of native window and SQL Server tools that will allow you to do just that.
