Delivering PowerView with SQL Server 2014 and SharePoint 2013
In this session I will explain what PowerView is and the benefits it can bring to your business; followed by an overview of how you can deliver it to your business using SQL Server 2014 and SharePoint 2013.
ETL Frameworks. Who? What? Where? When? how?
If you have to baby sit a number of ETL processes, having a framework that helps you find things when its all gone wrong can be a real bacon saver. We'll cover how to roll your own framework that will help with config, logging and scheduling. It will help you answer the key questions when something has gone wrong and also when its gone right. It will mostly be demos but there'll be code for you to take away and play with if you want to try it for yourself.
On arrival please sign in at the reception desk.
One of the main objectives of the user groups is to introduce new speakers, and here at Cardiff we're always looking for to support anyone who has something interesting to share with the SQL Community. We'll give you all the encouragement and support you need. We're really flexible so if you only want to speak for a shorter amount of time, say 15 mins then this is perfectly fine. If you've been thinking about this, then please get in touch with myself, Steph Locke.
