Either: Data Modelling for Data Analysis and Cubes:How to use some
simple techniques to remodel your data to massively enhance your
reporting and analytical capabilities, especially if you're using SSAS
cubes. Remodel your data, simplify your life.
MDX 101: Give your queries a multidimensional makeover. In this session
we'll look at the structure and basics of MDX, the MultiDimensional
query eXpression language for querying Analysis Services OLAP cubes.
We'll start at the beginning, so you need no previous MDX experience,
although an understanding of cubes would be useful.

Testa-O'Neill is a SQL Server Microsoft Most Valuable Professional(MVP)
and EMEA Senior SQL Server Professional with Insight
(http://uk.insight.com/). He is also a technical author, working on
courses for SQL Server 2008 R2 with Microsoft Learning and advising on
the SQL Server 2012 curriculum. Chris runs the Manchester SQL Server
User Group and is an organiser for SQLBits. Chris has spoken at a range
of events including user groups in the UK and Adelaide, Australia,
SQLBits and SQLPASS
is the owner and lead consultant at Purple Frog, a SQL Server Business
Intelligence consultancy in the UK, and has designed BI systems now used
by Barclays Capital and NASA.
He specialises in all aspects of
dimensional data modelling, data warehousing and cubes using the SQL
Server stack. Alex is a Chartered Engineer, has an MSc in Business
Intelligence, runs the Birmingham SQL Server User Group and the
Birmingham SQL Relay conferences.
He is also a regular speaker at other events including SQL Bits, SQL Relay, SQL Saturday and SQL Server user groups.
